Celebrating Cambridge City F C New Stadium with My Latest Painting and Prints
Cambridge City F.C. has always held a special place in my heart. As a local football club, it represents more than just the game; it’s part of the community’s fabric. Yet, for years, I hesitated to paint the club because they lacked a permanent home. After leaving their historic City Ground on Milton Road, the team played at St Ives Town and Histon F.C. Now, they have finally settled into a new stadium in Sawston. This move inspired me to create the painting.

The Rise of Human Art: A Call for an Icon to Distinguish Real Creativity from AI. (NO TO AI GENERATED ART)
The art world is facing a growing challenge. As AI-generated art becomes more common, many artists and collectors worry about the loss of authenticity and the unique value of human-created works. Recently, a BBC article highlighted a backlash against AI in the arts sector and called for an internationally recognized symbol to clearly mark whether a piece of art is human-made or computer-generated. This idea resonates deeply with me. I have already designed my own "No to AI Ge

Capturing Nostalgia: My Retro Painting of Abbey Stadium and Cambridge United
Abbey Stadium has stood as a familiar landmark in Cambridge for decades. Recently, I completed a new painting of this iconic home ground of Cambridge United. While visiting the stadium to take preparatory photos, I noticed that not much had changed in the eight years since my last painting. The stadium still carries the same character, with the forecourt cluttered by a hand carwash that gives it a somewhat cluttered, almost Steptoe’s yard feel. Being born less than two miles

The Unmatched Value of Hand Painted Art Over Digital Creations.
West Ham United F.C Boleyn Tavern Pub. Art has evolved dramatically with technology, but the rise of digital and AI-generated art has sparked a debate about the value of traditional hand painted works. While digital art offers convenience and speed, it cannot replicate the depth, authenticity, and lasting appeal of hand painted art.

Touchdown!!
In recent weeks I have started to paint the teams of the NFL. I've never really watched that much American Football, as we call it in England. It's been a real eye opener doing my research on the teams, locations and stadia. I was firstly surprised at the age of the stadia in use. Only 4 of the 32 teams of the NFL play in a stadium older than myself (1974). 19 of the 32 teams play in stadia constructed in this millennium. The vast majority of the stadiums are what would be cl
