Im very pleased with this one. It's a bit more complex than the other 2 rugby union grounds I have painted so far. Northampton Saints appear on my regional tv sports round up but I've never known much about Franklins Gardens. Im very impressed with the stadium. There is a tall structure in the background of my painting. It turns out that it's the The National Lift Tower It is/was a lift testing facility that was built be the Express Lift Company.
Ive had my first covid jab today. Im hoping once I get the second one done and restrictions are lifted that I can have a day in London to take photos of 2 new football stadia (Brentford and Wimbledon)
Ill start another rugby ground over the weekend.
