After a short break from blogging, I’m excited to share my newest painting featuring Leigh Sports Village, the home ground of the Leigh Leopards. This piece completes my Rugby League Super League collection, marking a significant milestone in my journey capturing the spirit of rugby league through art. The painting not only celebrates the stadium but also reflects the rich history and passion surrounding Leigh rugby.

The Story Behind the Painting
Leigh Sports Village has been a central hub for rugby league fans for years. Originally home to the Leigh Centurions, the club recently changed its name to Leigh Leopards, a move that reflects a fresh chapter in the club’s history. This painting captures the stadium’s vibrant energy and the community spirit that surrounds it.
Creating this artwork was a rewarding challenge. I aimed to portray not just the physical structure but also the emotions tied to the venue. The stadium stands as a symbol of pride for Leigh rugby supporters, and I wanted the painting to resonate with fans old and new.
Completing the Rugby League Super League Collection
This painting completes my Rugby League Super League collection, which includes other iconic stadiums and clubs. Each piece in the collection tells a story about the teams, their fans, and the unique atmosphere of rugby league matches. The Leigh Leopards painting fits perfectly alongside previous works, highlighting the diversity and passion within the sport.
The collection has been well received by rugby league enthusiasts and art collectors alike. Many appreciate the way the paintings capture moments and places that hold deep meaning for fans. This connection between art and sport is what drives me to continue creating.
Expanding to Rugby League Championship Clubs
Looking ahead, I plan to start painting clubs from the Rugby League Championship. This next phase will allow me to explore new stadiums and teams, broadening the scope of my rugby league art. Each club has its own story and character, and I’m eager to bring those to life through my paintings.
By focusing on Championship clubs, I hope to highlight the passion and dedication found throughout all levels of rugby league. These paintings will offer fans a chance to celebrate their teams in a unique and lasting way.
Available Print Options and Merchandise
The Leigh Leopards painting is available in a variety of print options and sizes to suit different tastes and spaces. Whether you prefer framed fine art prints, canvas prints (framed or unframed), or posters, there’s something for every collector.
In addition to prints, I offer ceramic mugs featuring the painting. These mugs are dishwasher and microwave safe, making them practical keepsakes for fans who want to enjoy their love of Leigh rugby every day.
Why Leigh Rugby Art Matters
Leigh rugby art captures more than just images; it preserves memories and emotions tied to the sport and community. For fans, owning a piece of Leigh art is a way to connect with their team and celebrate their identity.
The transition from Leigh Centurions to Leigh Leopards adds a new layer of meaning to this artwork. It marks a moment of change and renewal, which makes the painting even more significant for supporters.
