Here is my painting of Barcelona's Camp Nou. I originally contemplated a composition featuring the main entrance but it didn't appeal to me as it looks rather understated. I think this view captures the scale of the place better. It is Europes largest capacity stadium after all (99,543)
I like how its turned out. Ive applied slightly warmer tones than reality for the stadium facade to accentuate a sultry summers evening in Barcelona.
This painting will soon be a retro view as Camp Nou's much delayed redevelopment is forecast to start next year. For £500m its getting a roof and an additional 6000 seats. (£83k per seat)
