Im very pleased with my painting of the Gewiss Stadium which is home to Atalanta B.C. I wish more football stadiums looked as good as this one. They finished 3rd in Serie A last season and have qualified for this seasons Champions League. I was intrigued as Atalanta are a club that I'm not overly familiar with. After doing some research and seeing the facade of the stadium I just had to paint it. I think its amazing.
One of the stands behind a goal is currently being redeveloped but sadly not architecturally in keeping with the original construction style so I focused on the main stand.
I hope to find some more little gems like this one in the future.
